Quick Details
Homer, Alaska Salmon Fishing
We have the opportunity to troll up all 5 species of the Pacific Salmon on this fishing charter. The feeder kings are cruising around fattening themselves up to spawn another year and we catch them year-round. This is a popular late winter/early spring fishery. The spawning kings will come through headed for our local rivers and streams from mid-May through July.
When the salmon are thick and hitting, trolling can be a fast-paced day filled with incredibly fun fishing. The reward for a full day of good fishing leaves you with salmon that are as fresh and wild as they get! Don’t wait until they are in the rivers to experience the fight of a salmon. Don’t forget to purchase a King Salmon Stamp with your fishing license!
- All Year: We can find Feeder Kings as they attempt to fatten up in Kachemak Bay.
- Mid-May through July: Kings fully fattened and ready to spawn are headed towards the rivers and streams and we can intercept them on their way.
- Mid-Summer: Sockeye (aka Reds) and Pink salmon show up in the middle of the season, also prepared to spawn. We love those oily Reds and Pinks are pretty great for smoking!
- Late July to September: Silvers show up just in time to finish up our season.
*We have minimums on all of our charters and on occasion we will work with other qualified charter companies to insure that you will get out fishing on the schedule you request.
-
